I saw on the news that there is a new law allowing all H-4 spouses to work. Can you tell me when that will go into effect?

Sorry, but there is no new law that allows all H-4 spouses to work. I believe you may have been confused by the recent news regarding a lawsuit challenging the legality of the H-4 EAD program. As expected, the court determined that the H-4 EAD program was lawfully implemented and that the USCIS may continue to issue EADs to H-4 spouses who qualify under the program. However, the eligibility criteria to qualify for an H-4 EAD remains unchanged. (06.Apr.2023)
