Serving Our Community: MLF Attorney Runs 5K Race For Disabled Veterans
07 May 2014At the Murthy Law Firm, we believe in the power of diversity, and in the strength that comes from the interplay of different perspectives. Amid all our diversity, there is nonetheless an underlying unity, because we share a common purpose and a set of foundational values that draw us together. One such value is a commitment to serving others, at work and in our community.
In their professional lives, Murthy Law Firm staff and attorneys give their all to help immigrants to achieve their American dream. This ethos of service to others is part of who they are, not something they leave at the office door.
A recent case in point: on April 27th, Kevin Andrews, an attorney in our special projects department, ran a 5K race to help VetDogs, a nonprofit that provides service dogs for disabled veterans. Kevin ran alongside former service members and civilians, disabled and able-bodied alike, inspired by the grit and resiliency of people rebuilding their lives after war injuries. It’s just one of many such events in which Kevin has participated, to help raise funds for – and awareness of – the needs of America’s veterans.
We are proud of Kevin’s ongoing work for these worthy causes, just as we are proud of the many other Murthy Law Firm staffers who regularly and actively serve our community, and share their time and talents to make the world a better place!
