NewsFlash! October 2013 Visa Bulletin: FB2A Retrogressing

As predicted, the family-based, second preference “A” (FB2A) category for spouses and children of lawful permanent residents (LPRs, or “green card” holders), will retrogress in October. This category became current in August 2013 and remains current through September 30, 2013. The U.S. Department of State (DOS) Visa Bulletin for October 2013 will roll back the priority dates for this category to September 8, 2013 for all chargeability areas, except Mexico. The FB2A category for Mexico will move to September 1, 2013.
