NewsFlash! Diversity Lottery Results Voided Due to Computer Error

The U.S. Department of State (DOS) has had to void the results of the 2012 Diversity Visa Lottery. These results were posted on the DOS website in early May 2011. However, due to a computer programming error, the selection of winners was not made in the required, random fashion. Thus, the previous selections are void.

As explained on the DOS WebSite, DOS will still conduct the 2012 DV lottery. The new selection of “winners” from the previously-submitted qualified entries is expected to be finalized on or about July 15, 2011.
