NewsFlash! PERM Publication Expected December 27, 2004
Posted Dec 23, 2004 - 7:15 pm ET

The long-awaited PERM regulation is ready for publication in the Federal Register and is expected to be published on December 27, 2004. The PERM regulation will entirely change the manner in which labor certifications are filed and processed. PERM will be effective on a date that will be listed in the Federal Register. The best information available at this time indicates that the effective date will be 90 days after publication.

Please note that this information came to light after this week's (Dec 24, 2004) MurthyBulletin was in production. This announcement of the date of PERM's publication in the Federal Register supersedes the article included in that bulletin, entitled PERM Publication Expected, although other pertinent details are included there. Our December 24, 2004 MurthyBulletin will be posted on MurthyDotCom later tonight. We at The Law Office of Sheela Murthy, P.C. will provide a detailed analysis of the PERM regulation as soon as possible. Please watch MurthyDotCom for updates on this very significant change in immigration law and procedure.
