The nonprofit organization, American Immigration Law Foundation (AILF), is holding its annual benefit and awards program, celebrating the achievements of U.S. immigrants on Friday, June 23, 2006. This wonderful, uplifting event reminds us all of the outstanding contributions made by immigrants to American life.

The AILF benefit is coordinated with the annual, national American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) conference, which takes place this year in San Antonio, Texas. Each year, a particular nationality is selected to be honored during the evening's festivities. This determination is often influenced by the location of the conference and the historical contributions of particular immigrant groups within the region. As is appropriate to the location, MexicanAmericans will be celebrated in San Antonio. More information on this event is available on the AILF WebSite.

As a long-standing supporter of AILF and a member of its Board of Trustees, Attorney Murthy will be attending this event. She will be joined by other attorneys from the Murthy Law Firm. We are proud to continue our support of AILF in its mission to educate the public on the benefits of immigration, and to engage in litigation and other efforts to improve the U.S. immigration system and policies.
