Keeping abreast of the latest developments and strategies in U.S. immigration law, Attorney Sheela Murthy and some of the other attorneys from our Office are attending the AILA National Conference in Philadelphia from June 9 – June 13, 2004. As is customary, Attorney Murthy is speaking on a panel at the conference. Her topics include various nonimmigrant visas like the L1A, L1B, O, P, and options for spouses of these status holders to work in the U.S.

Frequently, senior policy level government officials of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), including the USCIS, attend and speak at various sessions of this national conference. Officials from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) and the U.S. Department of State (DOS) will also attend and speak. Such officials often choose to make major announcements at the AILA National Conference. Announcements are sometimes timed with the conference, since it is heavily attended and provides an opportunity to quickly and efficiently disseminate new information and obtain feedback and critique on some proposals. As in past years, we will share the latest developments and those issues we believe are of interest to our MurthyDotCom and MurthyBulletin readers.
