Annual Immigrant Achievement Awards Ceremony
Posted Apr 01, 2000

The Law Office of Sheela Murthy is again proud to be a sponsor this year of the Annual Immigrant Achievement Awards Ceremony. This year the Annual Immigrant Achievement Awards ceremony will be held in Washington D.C. at the Capital Hilton on Friday, March 31, 2000. This ceremony is organized for the benefit of the American Immigration Law Foundation (AILF), the lobbying arm of AILA each year.

Previous immigrants selected for this prestigious award include Madeleine Albright, U.S. Secretary of State, Ted Koppel, news reporter and anchor, and Dr. Ruth Westheimer, renowned sexologist. To meet with this year’s awardees and participate in the black tie gala, please contact AILA or send us an email if you would like to attend this ceremony.

Among the well-known immigration law firms in the U.S. with a strong web presence, the Law Office of Sheela Murthy is among the select few to sponsor this event on a regular basis. We invite other immigration law firms to participate in this worthwhile endeavor!

AILA is organizing Lobby Day for those interested to meet with their elected representatives. Please get involved in the democratic process and make a difference towards passing legislation to benefit pro-business immigration to help the U.S. maintain its world leadership in the technological arena! U.S. employers should contact their elected representatives to vote for such legislation, including H.R. 3983, summarized above, and the Senate Bill, S.2045.
