The U.S. Department of State (DOS) has issued the March 2006 Visa Bulletin. Those categories that are current in February continue to be current in March. Once again, there is some significant forward movement in most of the employment-based (EB) categories with cutoff dates. Even with the forward movement, all of EB3 (except Schedule A) remains significantly backlogged, with cutoff dates between January 2001 and October 2001. The EB2 category for nationals of India and China, while better than EB3, has cutoff dates of January 1, 2002 for India and July 1, 2002 for China. These new cutoff dates do not become available until March 1, 2006. The latest Visa Bulletin is always available on MurthyDotCom.
