TSC Corrects I-140 Processing Time

The Texas Service Center (TSC) of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) advised at the end of May 2008 that its processing times report for May 15, 2008 listed incorrect I-140 processing times. The report indicated that TSC was processing I-140s filed on August 26, 2007. The correct processing date is July 16, 2007.

Do Not Contact TSC re I-140 Petition - Internal Error

The USCIS will correct this information and make the needed changes in the processing times report. This change is merely the result of an internal error in the date provided. Thus, those employers and foreign nationals with I-140s pending at the TSC should adjust their expectations according to the revised processing date. Although not stated, it seems that this correction applies to all categories of I-140s at the TSC, as they all reflect the same processing date at this time.

TSC processing times, as well as those for all service centers, which are posted on the USCIS WebSite are always available through the times page on MurthyDotCom. These reports are helpful as a general guideline as to case processing timeframes. However, the actual processing time for any individual case can vary considerably.
