Ninth Annual AILF Awards in Washington D.C. - Another Success!

In March 2004, the American Immigration Law Foundation (AILF) held its 9th Annual Immigrant Achievement Awards in Washington D.C. As in years past, The Law Office of Sheela Murthy, P.C. was one of the major sponsors of the event. Many attorneys at the law firm attended the gala to honor and celebrate the contributions of immigrants.

A client of The Law Office of Sheela Murthy, P.C. was honored for his achievements in Indian music. He has performed in many leading national and international concerts and has released CDs with Pandit Ravi Shankar and George Harrison of the Beatles. Other awardees included a symphony conductor, a liver transplant doctor, and an immigrant who has dedicated his life to assisting those who want to adopt orphaned children.

We know that the accomplishments of the honorees are only a sampling of the many contributions immigrants bring to the U.S. on a daily basis. We are already looking forward to the 10th annual event in 2005 and contributing to its grand success.
