INS Publishes
Updated List of Visa Waiver Countries

Nationals
of certain countries are eligible to enter the U.S. as temporary visitors
without visas, with a maximum stay of 90 days. Originally, only the United
Kingdom, Japan, France, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Italy, and the Netherlands,
were eligible.
At the end of December, 1998, INS published a revised list. In addition
to the countries named above, nationals of the following nations can participate
in the Visa Waiver program: Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium,
Brunei, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg,
Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, San Marino, Spain and Slovenia.
