NSC Delays in Issuance of I-485 Receipt Notices

The Nebraska Service Center ( NSC) has informed AILA that they are working hard on more quickly issuing receipts for I-485 filings. The Center, like the other INS Service Centers, has been receiving a very large volume of I-485 (adjustment of status) applications and has had difficulty keeping up with the issuance of receipt notices!

NSC has pledged to make a special effort to get the receipts for I-485s out more quickly. Hopefully the results of that effort will be apparent in the near future.
